Getting Wisdom and Considering Candidates

Reading through several consecutive chapters in Proverbs today I was challenged to “get wisdom,” and in addition to some personal convictions about my own life, I applied what I read to considering the current presidential candidates.  Here are some examples, and consider “ man” a reference to our species, not our sex:
A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.
Proverbs 25:28
Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in all his ways.  Proverbs 28:6
Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes?  There is more hope for a fool than for him.  Proverbs 26:12
Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.  Proverbs 21:23
A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back. Proverbs 29:11
If a ruler listens to falsehood, all his officials will be wicked.
Proverbs 29:12
God, be merciful and help us.
